Studio Passport in Clay (Age 15 - Adult)

Are you craving more time each week to work in clay or do you have a special series of works you want to accomplish at your own pace? Studio Passport offers students the opportunity to pursue their own direction in clay though weekly access to dedicated open studio hours in-person and from home. Various enrollment levels are available this summer! Choose the Studio Passport option that best matches your schedule and making goals. This course is for students who have previously taken ceramics courses, have some experience in clay, and also those looking for a gentle reintroduction to making through focused projects of their own creation. This program will include mentoring and educational support, but extensive demonstrations may be limited. Come prepared to explore your ideas, refine your techniques, and discover your potential through clay. The studio is equipped with eight pottery wheels, which will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Give yourself the gift of studio time this season!

Course Fee: $145.00 for Macomb Park District Residents, $194.00 for Non-Residents

• Course fee includes clay (40 lbs. for 12 sessions), glazes, use of tools and brushes, bisque and glaze kiln firings, dedicated studio hours on Tuesday ONLY, weekly Thursday drop-off/pick-up times from 4:00-5:30 pm, and summer Glaze-A-Thon dates. Additional clay beyond the allotted 40 lb. amount and/or non-studio clay firings will be priced separately. 
• No Studio Passport/Thursday Hours: July 4, 16, 18, 20, August 6, 8, 24
• Saturday Glaze-A-Thon (9:00-11:00 am) Dates: June 22, July 6, 27, August 3, 17
