Field reservations for games must be made with the Macomb Park District office.

Downing Diamonds

Downing Park hosts our two largest Ball Diamonds at the A.L. Knowles Softball Complex; the Home Run Fence sits out at 275 Feet! For tournament weekends that would require a closer Home Run Fence we do have a portable fence that can be put up to decrease the distance if need be

Patton Park hosts 2 Ball Diamonds with the Home Run Fence sitting at 225 Feet.

Patton Specifications

Veterans Diamonds

Veterans Park is home to eight Ball Diamonds, seperated into a softball clover and a baseball clover. The Softball clover has four diamonds with dolomite infields with the capacity to interchange between softball and baseball field required dimensions. Bases can be set at any distance up to 80 feet. The home run fence is set at 225 feet.

 

The baseball closer hosts four diamonds, one with a dolomite infield and two with grass infields, with home run fences set at 225 feet. The fourth diamond has a grass infield with the home run fence set at 275 feet.

 

All of our diamonds are equipped with electronic scoreboards. Lighting is available on select fields.

Youth Leagues

Macomb Little League

The Macomb Little League is a chartered member of Little League International since 1983. The goal of the Macomb Little League is to provide a safe and enjoyable opportunity for Macomb Children to learn the fundamental skills and understanding of baseball. The competitive nature of the game will grow as the children progress through the different divisions.

McDonough County Girls Softball League

The McDonough County Girls Softball Leagues is designed to be a recreational and instructional softball program serving players ages 5 to 14. As such, the environment is to be one that promotes the positive development and safety of all participants.

Youth Traveling Leagues

McDonough County C.A.T.S.

C.A.T.S. Softball is a group of traveling fast pitch girls softball teams based in McDonough County, Illinois. McDonough C.A.T.S. (County Association of Traveling Softball) is open to girls playing 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U.

Western Illinois Dawgs is a travel baseball organization based out of Macomb. Players are from Macomb and surrounding areas.

Information
  • Deadline for entry is May 12.
  • Season opens on May 17: 3 divisions
  • Meet once a week. For more information contact the Macomb Park District at 309-833-4562
  • Seasons for all divisions are 8 weeks long with a 2 week tournament at the end for a total of 10 weeks.
